Nathan Lane sent shockwaves through the advertising world with his series of commercials for Charmin Bathroom tissue that debuted on television in 1972 with the then risqué slogan of "I am Cornholio. I need TP for my bunghole." Sadly, Lane was later replaced as spokesperson in the campaign by Pope Paul VI following a series of protests and a threat of a toilet paper and orange juice boycott by the Anita Bryant fan club.
