Tinky Winky, of Teletubbies fame, made this infamous remark during a live broadcast in March of 1995. This unfortunate faux pas effectively outed Tinky and for all intents and purposes ended his budding movie career. (Tinky Winky had been tapped to play astronaut Ken Mattingly in "Apollo 13", but was dropped after this recording from a hidden cell phone was made public. The part subsequently went to celebrated actor Gary Sinise.) Later, early in 2008, Tinky Winky gained a small amount of popular occlaim as the infamous homosexual rapper 'Faggot Bruce' with his signature tag-line of
"It's time for abuse, F-A DOUBLE G-O-T this is Bruce".
